Connect + Care + Community

Even though we can’t meet in person right now, we can still work together to support those in our surrounding communities that need our help during this time. We’ve been searching for opportunities to serve in our communities and have been fortunate enough to partner with a few organizations that could use our help. If you are willing and able to help in one of these areas, we would love to connect you with these opportunities.

1.  Help deliver food with Meals on Wheels. Start here first by filling out their volunteer application. You will be connected to a local site that needs your help!  Feel free to reach out to Jacki Rutledge if you have questions about the application or what to expect when delivering for Meals on Wheels at this time.

2.  Sew or deliver cloth masks.  If you can sew, the need for cloth masks is great right now.  You can drop off your masks during the week at the main entrance of the church office in the marked box right outside the door. Masks can be dropped off at anytime!  Contact Jacki Rutledge if you would like to be involved in sewing masks, providing materials for others to sew, or delivering masks to local facilities in need. To begin sewing, you can find detailed instructions here or instructions for making bias tape here. You can use a different design as long as it leaves a pocket for a filter insert. If you need a mask, please reach out and we will see that you get one!

Thank you for your willingness to serve! We are excited to see how God will work through you as you serve those around you.

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:1-5
